HSR and HRD strategic partnership in Saudi: a legacy of a million trainees and the future of healthcare training at National Guard Health Affairs

On June 3 2013, the CEOs of Health Systems Reform (HSR) and Saudi Human Resources Development (HRD) agreed to partner in Saudi Arabia for providing healthcare training to Saudi National Guard Health Affairs (NGH). HSR is a global leader in healthcare education and competency based training and HRD is a management consulting, training and total HR solutions company which trains on average 400 Saudi professionals per week. This partnership aims at delivering best-in-class training to NGH's healthcare staff at all levels: leadership, management, technical and hospital. The first training was administered from June 10-12 at the NGH hospital in Riyadh. HSR's anesthesia and intensive care expert trained NGH’s airway specialists on difficult airway management. The training included hands-on simulation and practical steps to save a patient life under difficult airway access conditions.
