The Journal of Health Systems and Reform

In Q3 of 2014, Landes Biosciences (publisher) is partnering with Joseph Antoun (Chief-Editor and CEO of HSR) and the leading healthcare reform team at Harvard School of Public Health to launch a first in class Journal of Health Systems & Reform.  The Journal will be a global platform for catalyzing cross-national knowledge transfer and translation in health systems and reform.

Most health systems around the world are at various stages of reform cycles. Aging, chronic diseases, and new healthcare technologies are among mounting challenges that require innovative and cost-effective approaches to healthcare and reform. On the other hand, there is no global platform that is dedicated to catalyzing cross-national knowledge transfer and translation in health systems and reform. The Journal of Health Systems and Reform aims at filling this gap.

The journal's vision is to become a Journal of Excellence and Reference in Health Systems and Reform that would be recognized as ‘the journal to read’ by health systems leaders, academicians, professors, students, media and other relevant stakeholders.

The journal’s mission is to create a global platform for sharing cutting edge knowledge, skills and lessons in health systems and systems reform.

The journal's main goal is to provide answers that matter for leaders, professionals or students looking for research, data, information, cutting edge lessons in health systems and system reform. For this purpose, the journal will have a global scope and potentially be translated to more than one language (Russian, Arabic, and Mandarin).

About the Publisher: established in 2002 in Austin, Texas it currently publishes 48 journals in biology and health sciences, few primary books, and medical reference manuals. For example, Cell Cycle, one of its first two journals, achieved the highest percent increase in total citations in molecular biology and genetics for the period of July–August 2007, with 1490 papers cited 6228 times.
